Vacation 2015 – Post 5

This was our first visit to Mont Tremblant; our hotel was right in the ski hill’s village which was very nicely developed; it was never necessary to leave. We were not surprised at the impressive bilingualism, we’ve been through the Laurentians before. We found it interesting that service at Tremblant has a clinical quality to it, always competent but somehow lacking warmth.

We spent a couple of days with Naeem, Rehana and Ayaan in Montreal. Sorry not many photos, you can see that Ayaan has really grown; we had a lot of fun, thanks for hosting us and we are looking forward to visiting again in the late Autumn. It was very foggy at Mirabel when we left for Toronto; we were flying on top of the clouds within 20 minutes, our route to Toronto City Centre was something completely different from previous trips between Montreal/Ottawa and the GTA. No real problems with visual conditions in Toronto but it was quite hazy. We arrived about 1 1/2 hours before the arrival of a nasty weather system.

Sam was waiting at the Trans Capital FBO at Toronto City Centre Airport. As happy as I am with the success of City Centre Airport, it is becoming less friendly to general aviation. The trip back to Niagara District took 15 minutes, the bad weather (pretty seriously bad actually) arrived about 45 minutes later so careful planning paid off. Sam vacationed with us for another 3 days, a perfect end to this year’s summer break.
