The Racetrack
Interesting title for an aviation story. The airspace over Niagara Falls is restricted up to 3500 feet. It is bi national but managed by the Canadian Department of Transport. Commercial operators are able to fly in the restricted airspace with special certification according to some pretty strict requirements. At 3500 feet and above any licensed pilot can fly over Niagara Falls according to a specified oval shaped route that we colloquially call the “racetrack”.
Mumtaz and a colleague joined me for a scenic flight over Niagara culminating in a flight over Niagara Falls.
