This vacation was a driving trip.

Sam started ahead on a trip to New York with her friends.

We moved on to Killington, Vermont, highly underrated in the summer, you will find excellent accommodation outside ski season and the resort experience is excellent.

Next we travelled to Lake Placid via the ferry from Burlington, Vermont.  We actually stayed in Saranac Lake; unlike Killington, Lake Placid has done a fantastic job of marketing itself as a summer destination. It has become expensive and congested.  Don’t miss it though, there is a good reason for its popularity.
