It was quite a summer coloured by the passing of Mumtaz’s mother.  Mumtaz arrived in Edmonton very soon after, Sam, Trevor and I travelled together to join the family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mumtaz stayed in Edmonton to assist with winding up her mom’s affairs then moved on to Vancouver which was consistent with our original plans for the Summer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I flew CFSPT to Vancouver via Green Bay, Wisconsin; Watertown, South Dakota; Miles City, Montana and Great Falls, Montana.  That was quite a long day of flying.  The next day it was a stop in Spokane then on to Bellingham.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On August 21, I flew to Salem, Oregon to view the total eclipse.  The flying was quite interesting, there were 180 aircraft on the ground at Salem and the arrival was quite challenging.  Click on the photo for more photos from the eclipse in Salem, Oregon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mumtaz and I travel to Whistler; it has been quite a long time since I have seen Whistler; again, click on the photos for more:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Naeem Rehana and kids, Ayaan, Inaya and Layla arrived; lots of fun time playing with the kids, included in this set are some photos from Stanley Park and downtown Vancouver:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mumtaz stayed on in Vancouver and I headed to Seattle to check out the Boeing large airplane assembly center in Everett, Washington.  It is the largest building in the world, all of Disneyland California could fit inside the building with over 20000 acres left over for parking.  The tour is quite heavily controlled; no water, food, bags, cameras etc.  Otherwise, very well paced and interesting.  Then I went on to visit John, Lisa and kids, Brianna and Davy (both of whom I was meeting for the first time).  The photos from Boeing are not really very good but I left them in anyway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I leave for Great Falls from Seattle then on to Rapid City, South Dakota for a quick trip to Mount Rushmore.\u00a0Click on the photofor more;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From Rapid City, I made a stop in Mason City (“The Day the Music Died”) enroute to a stop in Lansing; next day back to Kitchener\/Waterloo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mumtaz arrived close to Labour Day having played with the kids to theirs and her heart’s content and having finished her observances for her mom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
