We’re very proud of Sam who has handily passed the rigorous comprehensive examinations enroute to her PhD.  The process involved reading 110 books, writing 100 pages on 10 of them then answering oral questions on the entire body of work.  Sam’s next step is to write a dissertation proposal and spend 3 years preparing her doctoral thesis.

Sam completed written portion after many months of preparation so we traveled to Cleveland for celebration.
