This year’s vacation was to the East Coast flying in CGWBO.

This year’s vacation blog is divided into 5 segments to keep the blog loading quickly.
We began the trip at Niagara District Airport with a flight plan of nearly 5 hours non stop to Halifax. The trip was really smooth but I was hoping for more of a tailwind. Ultimately we shaved nearly 1/2 hour off the trip by getting a route through military airspace. Mumtaz experimented with selfie shots during the flight.

We tour East of Halifax. No visit to the Halifax area is complete without a stop at Peggy’s Cove. We have visited many times and we missed Sam who used to love to scramble on the rocks. You will see from the photos that it was very foggy which was actually nice because it was cool and the photos have an interesting quality to them.

Still in Peggy’s Cove we stopped at the Swissair 111 memorial. Next searching for the wonderful Seafood Shanty restaurant, we check out the town of Chester. The Seafood Shanty is actually in the town of Chester Basin; the restaurant is simply … awesome. I love to stop at a lookout before ,entering the town of Mahone Bay, hope you enjoy those photos. The rain caught up with us in Lunenburg but it wasn’t serious. We were lucky to see the Bluenose II in the port.
