Things are quite chaotic at the moment but the answer is to avoid Album Pages and access all photos using the Blog. To assist in navigating the blog entries, check out the new categories after the list of recent entries. You will see that you can access the blog entries by year as well as by category.

WARNING **Tech talk ahead**

So the problem is that the systems (2 of them) that I was using to link photos to the site from Google and OneDrive are no longer compatible with the latest version of WordPress. Now make no mistake, it did not occur to me to check this before I updated. Further, I’m sure that someone is trying figure it out. In the end, time to reduce exposure to WordPress plug in issues and figure out what to do.

Recent photos are already sorted; the old slide shows are working. Here are the steps to revamping the site.

1. Reprogamme all links to directly access Google Photos/OneDrive instead of the photo pages. This is already in progress, I’ve redone 2004 through 2012.

2. Decommission the Photo Albums.

3. Minor changes to the home page.

4. Review all blog posts to make sure that the links and categories are correct and working.

5. Disable the Album Pages … remembering that there some of the pages have been directly programmed so they are intact and will stay.

Already done: 2004 through 2012; new blog categories created to navigate the blog by year.
