If I’m feeling a bit melancholic as we approach Halloween, it is because late fall 2020 could have been so memorable. Sam’s convocation was a couple of days ago, she has been a doctor since last June, let’s hope that it isn’t too long before a traditional ceremony is possible. There will be no special 45th anniversary performance of the Rocky Horror Picture Show, especially heartbreaking as Halloween is on Saturday this year. My 65th birthday is coming up, we will be delaying my special celebration which is trip into Toronto on public transportation paying seniors’ fare.

At the risk of repeating myself from earlier posts; it is one thing to be disappointed about the things that we are missing out on and quite another to be suffering from Covid or other illness; or being financially or psychologically distressed. None of us are facing real distress in the face of the current crisis and we all keenly appreciate our good luck.
