Yesterday was Sam’s convocation date having earned her PhD last June. She and Trevor visited last Sunday for our third and chilliest backyard get together; Trevor took the official photographs of Sam which I will post once they are ready. Halloween and my 65th birthday are in proximity so we celebrated everything at once since we will likely not be visiting each other for quite some time.

The convocation ceremony by video feed was declared early and often to be a placeholder for a more traditional event that is promised for as soon as it can be carried out safely. We are certainly looking forward to that.
