Taking stock of places in Ontario that we haven’t visited. Peterborough came to mind in August. Peterborough is notable for being quite similar to St. Catharines. There is a pleasant university area, there is a canal with interesting feats of engineering. Great bike and hiking trails, comparable to or perhaps a bit better than St. Catharines. We loved the Peterborough zoo; a multi purpose, free and well managed facility with a real focus on kids.

There is a pretty amusing dinosaur park just east of Peterborough. We spotted it on a trip to Ottawa in 2021 and felt it necessary to return. Click on the photo below for more.

We also added a pleasant drive to the Kawartha Lakes.

And, for the first time in some 40 years, we reconnect with Cam. Cam is a dear friend from our Calgary days who left just enough information on social media that we were able to track him down.
