Readers of the blog will remember that it was our tradition to move into the hotel for around 5 days, Sam and Trevor moved in for 2 or 3 days leaving on Christmas Eve for Trevor’s parents; I would remain to mid day Boxing Day. This year I scheduled to fly 4 or more flights on Christmas Day to keep the tradition going.

Weather

What a strange weather pattern over most of North America. Virtually no snow accumulations here, 35 minutes away, travelers took shelter in a Walmart for 30 hours, snow clearance was impossible and a state of emergency declared.

Flights Suspended

With all that, flying on Christmas Day was possible but airport snow clearance was dicey and winds are still high. So as I write this, I am not working on Christmas for the first time in 23 years, 40 if you count a 7 year hiatus in Cyprus.
