Every year at Camp Manitou Wabing near Parry Sound Ontario, the last 2 weeks of the summer are given over to the Interprovincial Music Camp. A fabulous faculty is assembled, the campers audition on arrival; they are assigned to one of 4 ensembles. I attended for 2 summers a little over 50 years ago. The concert is held the day before Labour Day. It is a new tradition for me to attend the concert every year.

I was happy with the changes to the novice concert this year; they chose students with slightly more experience which was more satisfying for all concerned.

This year the senior groups really shone; the Symphonic Orchestra played one of my favourites, Danse Macabre and they executed it very well indeed.

No photos from IMC this year, perhaps next year. We were to expand the trip to Manitou Wabing to a larger trip to North Bay and perhaps eastbound from there. Next year we will attempt that again.
