You may have noticed that Mumtaz was in Montreal during our Halloween festivities this year. In early November Sam and I drove to Montreal to meet up with Mumtaz, spend the weekend with us all returning home.

So the trip was challenging … we limped into Kingston with a major tire failure, we hurriedly managed the overnight, rental cars, new tires etc. but we made it into Montreal unscathed and we had a terrific time including an impromptu birthday celebration for Inaya and me who share a birthday.

We had a great time in Montreal. The return trip was fraught but as I write this in December, new tires are good, everyone is healthy and all other problems have been resolved.
